CONCORD

Concord is a residential neighborhood on Staten Island’s North Shore, situated between Grasmere, Clifton, Dongan Hills, and Emerson Hill. Its name dates back to the mid-19th century, inspired by Concord, Massachusetts, reflecting a sense of American heritage and local pride. Once home to a large German immigrant population, Concord has evolved into an ethnically diverse and family-friendly community.

Set along some of Staten Island’s key roadways-including the Staten Island Expressway, Richmond Road, Targee Street, and Clove Road-Concord offers residents strong connectivity without sacrificing its suburban atmosphere. Despite the presence of major routes, much of the neighborhood retains its quiet, residential feel with tree-lined streets, local parks, and small businesses that add warmth and accessibility.
